The music we listen to says a lot about us. It’s a way to express our feelings, experiences and vulnerabilities. Books touch people in a similar way, so it only makes sense for Spotify to use music taste to get people to listen to more audiobooks.

Spotify will work with authors to pull sentiments from Goodreads to create soundtracks (playlists) for audiobooks. Music artists will also drop new music for these soundtracks.
First, Spotify will recommends playlists to listeners based on their music taste. They’ll get to listen to the audiobook that inspired the playlist for free.
Spotify will also recommend audiobooks based on playlists that the user already created, and others that they regularly listen to.
Spotify will have a feature that allows users to blend their music tastes with friends and family. From there, Spotify will create audiobook book club recommendations based on the blended music tastes.
